Hey guys!
I meant to get this post typed up earlier today, but instead I spent half the day on the phone with Booking.com trying to get a few things sorted with the apartment we’re supposed to be staying at in London. It’s a long story that I won’t get into (I’ve been working on getting the issue resolved for almost a month now…ugh), but anyhoooooo….that whole ordeal put me majorly behind today, and then I had happy hour plans with a few of my girls (S/O Lindsay of http://magnoliasouthstyle.com/ , Hillary of https://hillheady.com/ , and Megan of http://thecharlestoncloset.com/ ). Happy hour then turned into a three hour dinner, and yada yada yada, had a few things to do when I got home, chatted with the hubby a bit about his day, and I’ve finally got all five dogs that are currently under my roof settled into bed. And seeing as I’m still camping out on an air mattress with Gertie while she continues to heal from back surgery, sleep is becoming even more elusive than usual (wahhhhh!!). So here I am at 2 something in the morning trying to get ‘er done, as they say.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I shared this red and white midi skirt on my stories last week in a try-on haul, but I had styled it completely differently with an old pair of nude wedge slides, and this white puff-sleeved top (btw I ended up wearing that that top to happy hour tonight with some cute black/white polka dot shorts, and these ridiculously cute and comfy new peep toe booties that I received as a ‘thank you’ gift from Aerosoles, but I supposed I’m not here to talk about that outfit;)).
Back to the skirt…..
I just love that this piece can be styled so many different ways many ways. It’d even be a good festive skirt to wear for the Fourth of July. I’m planning to pack it for our euro vacay, but I’ll probably go for a more boho vibe with it and pair it with some pretty sandals, a white tank or tee, straw hat, and maybe a straw bag too;). It also comes in this pretty green color, and I’m sooooo tempted to get it too bc I feel like this silhouette is just so flattering.
Speaking of hats….okay we weren’t really speaking of them, but let’s. So I bit the bullet a couple weeks ago and finally ordered a Lack of Color hat. I figured it was time for a new investment hat since I obviously get good use out of the ones I have, and I’m sure yall are probably ready for me to mix another one in the rotation;) I had the hardest time deciding between this one and this one, but I ultimately went with the regular Ivory Rancher. I loved the Ivory Rancher Special, but the plain one is just a bit more versatile and I didn’t want to feel limited at all with what I could pair it with. Now I just have to continue to wait patiently for it to come back in stock so they can finally ship me the darn thing.
On another random note. Most of you all probably saw that I got my eyebrows touched up a couple weeks ago with Terra at Ultra Brows. You can read about my initial microblading experience here and here. The initial treatment was gifted to me by Terra, and I’m sure she would have been totally on board with gifting my touch up too, but honestly she’s just so freaking good and in such high demand, so I just booked my appointment with her online and was happy to be a regular ol’ paying client of hers:) . Anyway, I have a point, and I will eventually get to it, I swear. I bought these Dior So Real sunglasses two or three years ago (whenever they first came out and were all the rage), but I honestly never wore them because I hated the way they looked with my old spermy, pre-microbladed eyebrows. I had listed them on Poshmark for a while, but it pained me to sell them and lose so much money when I really didn’t get to use them at all, so I eventually pulled the listing and they continued to sit in their pretty Dior case collecting dust. Fast forward to a few days ago, and I decided to give them another shot, and holy moly….what a difference some brows can make! Now I actually love them on me…yay! Warning: you’ll be seeing these sunnies in a lot of future posts;) .
Welp, that’s all for me tonight. I’m sure the short post is a refreshing contrast to my superrrrr lengthy post on Santorini. 😉
Good night yall!…(er good morning(?))
