Y’all, I’ve been in full-on summer vacay clothes-hoarding mode lately. Just when I think I’m all set with my packing list, a sale or ad pops up and convinces me otherwise. Please tell me I’m not the only one with this issue (?)
I always end up stocking up on summer clothing more so than fall or winter pieces. I know everyone gets excited for fall, but the summertime has always been my favorite time, and the fashion is always more fun too (at least in my opinion;)). I think part of the issue for me is that I usually feel and look like a frumpy mess in a lot of the fall and winter trends, but of course I still try to have some fun with my wardrobe when the temps are low. I definitely have wayyy more fun dressing in the summer though;)
I shared this yellow and white floral budget friendly dress in my Insta stories the other week. If you missed it, I had mentioned that I love the tie strap detail of the dress, but I dislike how it makes my shoulders appear even broader than they already are. I’m planning to bring this along on my summer euro vacay, but I’ll probably tuck the two back straps in and tie it as a halter, or I might tuck all the straps in and wear it as a strapless. Kinda digging how versatile it is;) And if you’re planning to order, I’d say this dress runs TTS.
I’ve rounded up some of my other summer vacay-mode dress purchases, as well as a few others that are speaking to me. All are currently under $50, and most are well under.
If you’re new here, you’ll quickly find that I generally like to find budget friendly options for trendier pieces. Or really for clothing in general, with the exception of more timeless wardrobe staples. I don’t mind investing in a hat , bag, sunglasses, shoes, or a great fitting pair of jeans that I can wear over and over again, but otherwise I’m all about a good budget buy. 😉 Fashion isn’t defined by how much money you can spend on something. You can look like a million bucks dressed from head to toe in Walmart finds. It’s all about choosing the right pieces though;)
On that note I was at Banana Republic the other day and saw a pair of earrings that were identical to a pair that I’d purchased at Walmart for under $4. Out of curiosity I checked the price and they were $29 at Banana Republic. Crazy! So again, I’m all about the “look for less.”
Hope yall like my picks!
