So if you’ve caught any of my instagram posts over the last couple weeks, you know that I’m probably the only person on this side of the Mississippi who isn’t excited about the prospect of fall approaching. I think this is mostly due to the fact that it definitely does not feel like fall here, and while I look all easy-breezy and comfy in these pics, I was actually sweating my badonkadonk off. Even though it’s not quite sweater weather in Charleston, hopefully a lot of you are enjoying some cooler temps wherever you’re reading this from. And if it isn’t full on fall type temps, maybe you can at least dip your toe into the changing seasons by sporting one of my favorite fall transitional looks: the shorts + sweater combo.
Everything I’m wearing I’ve had for two years or more, except for my Gucci Dionysus dupe, which yall might remember I got earlier this year when I was a bit extra and arranged to have it delivered to my hotel in Glasgow (seeing as it was out of stock until right before I left for my trip). I’m so glad I was able to get my grubby little hands on this bag, and it’s actually back in stock now (YAY!). These bags are made in Italy, so they’re great quality. The seller has a website (in addition to selling through Amazon) and their physical address shown on the website is an Italian address. And when I ordered my bag, it definitely shipped directly from Italy (vs. China, like most dupes).
My Burberry Gauden slip-ons were one of my last major splurges before I left my old career as a little gift to myself, and I honestly have not worn them nearly enough. I figured after I recovered from my foot surgery I’d be living in flats, but I guess the heart wants what it wants, and my heart wants me to be just a few inches taller whenever possible.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So as much as I looooove these sneaks, unfortunately they usually get passed over in favor of a cute pair of booties or wedges. If you do love flats though, you can still find the Gaudens at a few retailers, but I’ve also linked a couple that are discounted on eBay. Whenever buying luxury merchandise on eBay, or any resale website, you always want to double check the seller’s feedback, of course. Make sure they have a lot of reviews, and that the feedback is positive and doesn’t indicate that anyone has questioned the authenticity of any items they’ve sold.
Anyhoo…I’ve linked my exact outfit pieces, with the exception of my shorts and sweater, as well as similar pieces to create the same look. My shorts were a TJ Max purchase several years ago, and my sweater is a couple seasons old from Zara.
ICYMI, I mentioned on my IG stories about a week ago that I’m getting microblading done, and my appointment is actually tomorrow morning…..squeeeeeee!!! I’m soooo freaking excited to have brows again! I’ll be getting them done by Terra, the owner of Ultra Brows just outside of Charleston, and I’ll definitely let yall know how it goes! I’m kind of nervous, only bc I don’t have a specific idea of what I want, but hopefully Terra will give me an idea of what will look good with my giant forehead;)
Wish me luck!
