A lot of you reached out saying you liked the idea of a weekly werk werk werk werk werk wear series, so here I am….aiming to please;) Please ignore the fact that I missed last weeks installment becuz #Florence, but I think I’m coming in strong this week with these adorable polka dot pants that I snagged last month for just $11.00. You may recall that I wore them to an event downtown, and I HEART them. They have pockets and an elastic waist, so they’re perfect for dining out and accommodating food babies, all while you look effortlessly pulled-together. The fabric feels quite nice too;)
I love that cropped palazzo pants and cropped denim are so hot right now. Being a shorty, it’s really nice to be able to purchase pants that I don’t have to hem;) Plus I think cropped bottoms look great on us vertically challenged gals since sometimes pants with a normal inseam (especially loose fitting ones) have a tendency to swallow us whole and overwhelm our figures.
I understand not everyone’s work dress code will allow for a sassy red cami to be worn (even if it’s worn with a cardigan or blazer over it), so you can instead go a bit more conservative with this top, which I own in red and LOVE. And if strappy platforms aren’t your thing, you could always throw on a pair of classic black or nude pumps (I’ve linked some options for ya!). I think this whole look works pretty well for a day to night/ Friday Happy Hour type sitch.
My classic ruched sleeved boyfriend blazer is a forever 21 purchase from two seasons ago (bought every color they had lol), but I’ve linked alternatives. My Celine sunnies are like 5 seasons old, but I’ve linked similar celine sunnies, and a dupe from Amazon. My shoes are Nine West and a Marshalls purchase from several years ago, but I’ve linked some other fabulous finds for yall:) The first time I wore these pants, I paired them with these nude heels, and I always love wearing nude shoes because they lengthen your legs.
In case you missed my stories yesterday, I just got my brows microbladed yesterday compliments of Terra who owns Ultra Brows in Summerville. I have no idea why I’ve waited so long to take the microblading plunge, but I’m soooo glad I finally did! Since it’s only day two, I’m at the stage now where my brows are superrrr dark, but I kinda love it;) I’ll be doing a post on my experience, so definitely keep an eye out for that if you’re considering microblading, or at all curious about the process.
Hope everyone is having a great week!
