Not Your Mother’s Skort
I’m not usually a “skort kinda gal.” Probably because I’m scarred for life from the super matronly ones my mom used to wear, but as soon as I saw this green little number pop up in my Facebook feed (ugh…yall know the struggle) I just had to snatch it up. Especially at under $15. Crazy, right?? I was so pleased when I got it in the mail too. It’s a really pretty color (also comes in yellow), and the fabric almost feels like a nice linen blend, which unfortunately wrinkles pretty easily, but it still looks great on.
This came with me to Europe and I intended on pairing it with this green ribbed tank, the same belt in the pics above, and my comfy aerosoles, which are both currently on sale, and of course my fave Janessa Leone Gloria hat that I’ve had for years now. Unfortunately I packed a bit too much and never got to wear that outfit, which is a shame bc I really loved the look and slightly boho/casual vibe.
Since fall usually has an extremely slow onset down here in South Carolina, I could even pair this with a chunky cream knit sweater, some booties or mules, and my new Lack of Color Ivory Rancher hat for a cute transitional look.
In other news…
I’m still trying to get my head screwed back on after our vacay abroad. I am sooooo behind on travel posts (like years behind) because I really want my travel content to be helpful in some way, rather than fluff pieces (so to speak), so they tend to take me a long time to process and write. Definitely way longer than they should take. I am so motivated to write about this trip though, so I’m going to try my best to get some posts up sooner rather than later while everything is fresh in my mind. We really had an incredible time, so I definitely have tons of positives to recap, but I always learn some valuable lessons while traveling, and this trip was no exception. The more we travel, the more I’m able to really nail down our travel philosophy and what type of places we really vibe with, and I learned a great deal about myself on this trip that I’m stoked to put into words here. So stay tuned for that!
