Aren’t ya plaid the holiday season is in full effect?! (See what I did there?;)) Sorry….had to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyhoooo, classic plaid prints have always been a favorite of mine. It’s truly a timeless print, and pretty much the foundation of fashion in the UK dating back centuries…especially in Scotland. My grandpa used to rock some adorable plaid pants, and even at 5 years old I thought they were the coolest, and that he was the coolest grandpa there ever was for wearing them.
There is no shortage of fashionable plaid finds on the market today, so I thought I’d attempt to narrow the field down a bit to my “Favorites Under $50.” You’ll be seeing a good chunk of these picks featured on my IG too (like this coat I’m wearing above, and this sassy wales checked skirt that I recently featured).
Keep in mind that a handful of these pieces are currently on sale for up to 50% off, so once the sale is over, some will be over $50. So don’t linger too long if you really love something;)
Who’s excited for Thanksgiving?!? My parents are driving up here from south Florida and I’m sooooo excited they’re coming to stay with us! I haven’t seen them in over a year, and it’s been FOREVER since they’ve stayed at our house (I think the first and last time was when we moved in back in 2011). They always drive up here in their RV and stay at a nearby campground, which probably sounds like a great set up, but I never feel like I get enough time with them when they don’t stay here at the house. They’ll pop over for lunch or dinner, and then they aways feel like they need to get back to their RV. So I’m really looking forward to them hopefully feel like they can relax here for a change….and eat obscene amounts of Thanksgiving food with me (weight watchers tracking will be back in full swing next week;)).
Anyway, what are all your Thanksgiving Day plans? Anyone else hosting?
Also, totally random, but I’ve been re-watching Homeland over the last week or so, and holy crap. I’d almost forgotten how good the first two seasons were (three was meh for me, but things got good again in season four). Does anyone else LOVE Saul as much as I do?!? Like, I wish he were an uncle of mine or something. That scene at the end of season two when Saul thinks Carrie died in the bombing and then she approaches him as he’s praying over all the deceased. So. Many. Chills. when he realizes Carrie is really standing in front of him and he lets out a huge sigh and smiles at her. And then there’s the prisoner exchange scene in season four when Carrie has to walk out on the tarmac and convince Saul to comply with the exchange rather than being blown up and they’re both crying…..such amazing acting and on-screen chemistry.
The rest of my week is going to be a bit cray, as my parents will be arriving tomorrow night, so if I don’t get a chance to post here again before Thursday, I hope you all have an amazing time feasting with family and friends this Thanksgiving!
