Sometimes I feel like I’m always a day late and a dollar short, and today is definitely one of those days.
I ordered this fun green fringe skirt back in December to wear for the holiday festivities. It was kind of a last minute purchase, and I knew it may not arrive before Christmas. It was actually delivered on Christmas Eve, but by then our holiday plans had changed and I didn’t get a chance to wear it for its intended purpose. But the good news is now I’m way ahead of schedule for Christmas 2019;)
Even though the holiday season is long gone, I really wanted to share this budget friendly outfit in case any of you all want to buy now and wear later too. While this skirt isn’t exactly a classic style staple, it’s also not just a brief trend, so it truly could be worn for years to come at holiday parties. I had so much fun wearing it just for this little photo sesh. I really adore this gorgeous shade of green too. I ordered a medium, and usually wear a size 28 in low to mid rise jeans, so I think this runs pretty true to size.
And can we talk about the puff sleeves and button detail on this gorgeous black blouse?? Another fabulous budget friendly wardrobe staple that works with your favorite pair of jeans and classic stilettos or booties, or a chic pair of cropped leather pants. It’s only $12 currently and comes in a zillion colors;)
I’m truly thrilled with both of these pieces and can’t wait to sport this ensemble to my next Christmas party in about 11 months (insert face-palm here).
Welp, I’ve got to cut myself off so I can get to bed soon. My sleep schedule has been all over the map, which is actually pretty typical for me, but seeing as I’m getting to be an old lady, I really need to stop pulling the late nights trying to get things done that feel like a poor use of time during daylight hours.
I should probably mention that I found my first grey hair(s) today (insert ugly cry here). I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised….I mean this is my last year in my 30s, so it was bound to happen sooner or later ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I was just really really hoping it would be later. I’m probably the most immature 38 years and 11 months old person you’ll ever come across. Meaning that I just truly do not feel my age, and often times I don’t act it (girls just wanna have fun, right??). I think a big part of not feeling 38 years and 11 months old is just being in plain old denial, so I might just unpack my things in Denial and stay for a while longer….like at least another 20 or so years. =\
