Happy Friyay guys! I posted my new favorite neutral spring shoes on my instagram stories last week, but in case you missed it I wanted to make sure I shared them here before they sell out! Target has totally been rocking their designer dupe shoe game lately. Though in this case, it was the actual brand (Dolce Vita) that designed this budget friendly dupe of their Eddie sandal specifically for Target. Obviously there are some differences between the two in the materials used, but overall they’re the same design and basically serve the same purpose in your wardrobe;)
I haven’t had a chance to wear them yet, so I can’t say whether they’re comfortable for all day wear, but they didn’t seem to pinch my feet at all wearing them around the house. I might wear these for a girls night on the town tonight, so I’ll definitely update yall if they end up being miniature torture devices.
Here’s a round up of all my current faves for spring!
On a side note, I’m so sorry I’ve been sort of MIA here lately. As most of you probably know, I unexpectedly lost my very first dog, Gidgie, on March 4th. I adopted her almost 15 years ago (when she was approximately three years old) during my senior year of college. So she’s been with me through everything….and I mean EVERYTHING. While I haven’t posted on here, I’ve been doing a lot of writing about Gidgie. I’m sure it sounds cheesy, but I wanted to write our story because she truly meant the world to me and I still can’t believe she’s gone. I feel like I’ve never lived in a world without her…at least not as an adult. I’m a bit hesitant about sharing what I’ve written about her, as I’m sure many people will think I’m being overly dramatic, or I’m some crazy dog lady (which I totally am=\), but I just really needed to write out my feelings to help myself get through the grief. I hope you all can relate in some way, as we’ve all been through tough times of varying degrees, but obviously everyone handles their grief differently.
I feel like 2018 has been a whirlwind so far…and not entirely in a positive way, unfortunately. Next up is our trip to Scotland, and I could not feel less prepared for it than I do right now. =\ This is totally out of character for me to not have a sold plan in place, but I’suppose I’ll finally have some time to sit and fine-tune our itinerary when I’m flying across the ocean to meet up with Michael in Glasgow.;) Right now my biggest concern is remembering my passport, and making it to the airport with a suitcase that weighs under 50 pounds so I don’t get stuck with another $200 excess baggage fee. I’ll let yall know how that goes…=\
