Soooo first thing’s first. I needed a bigger size in these khaki pants to accommodate my big butt. However, Michael felt differently so I decided to keep them….
So here we are.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When they fit properly, the darting detail around the waist looks super flattering and tailored, vs a bit awkward (as shown in these pics).
I usually buy my clothing a tad on the large side, and then alter it, if needed, with my sewing machine, but since I’ve lost a bit of weight I’ve been trying to order the correct size bc it’s kind of motivating to be able to go down a size or two. Unfortunately, I pushed the edge of the envelope a little too far with these by ordering a medium (I think these do run a tad small too, so probably a good idea to size up). Though, I’m hopeful that -5 pounds from now they’ll fit properly.
They are such great quality and made with a nice, thick twill-like fabric, so they look much more expensive than they actually are (my favorite type of budget finds, of course). They’re definitely not your mother’s khaki pants, otherwise Michael would not have felt compelled to compliment me in them. =\
Per usual, I paired them with some familiar closet faves + a basic cami from Walmart. Absolutely love Walmart for wardrobe basics. They’ve really been crushing it with their denim lately too (as noted in this post;))
