You all see what I did there? “21 Jump Suit”…get it?;) Seriously though, this $21 yellow striped jumpsuit is one of my favorite purchases ever. It’s just as comfy as wearing pajamas, but I felt so sophisticated wearing it. It’s definitely coming with me to Mexico bc this is exactly the sort of thing I’m going to want to throw on after a full day in the sun without enough sunscreen. I adore the sunny yellow stripes too. It just screams summertime to me.:)
I bought the jumpsuit in a large (my usual size at this retailer), and I guess their sizing is starting to align more with US size charts, as it was a tad big, so I think a medium would’ve been perfect. It also comes with a matching fabric tie to wrap around and cinch the waist, but I decided to throw on this old braided belt instead to add a bit of contrast and attempt to define my waistline a little better;)
I just got these ankle strap block heels too, which are now on sale for only $39. The color name is “blush” but they oddly don’t have a pink tint. They’re more of a beigey-taupe color. After scouring the internet I chose to get these bc they’re the perfect heel height ( 3 and 1/4 inches), and the part that falls on the back of the ankle is completely smooth, so I was hoping that they wouldn’t rub my skin raw like so many similar style heels do. So far, so good:) I always have to be careful with shoes that ‘cut off’ at the ankle since I’m short, as they often tend to make my legs even shorter, but since these are such a neutral color, I think they blend pretty well, so I’ll be putting a lot of miles on these guys;)
Not sure if you all can tell in these pics, but I recently added some baby lowlights to my hair, as I’m trying to get back to my natural color. Well actually, I’ll still color it, but I’ll be aiming for more of a balayage look. I just absolutely hate how it looks as soon as my roots start to grow out, and I’m tired of damaging my hair so frequently to keep up with it. Plus it’s so expensive to maintain, and only looks good for like a week and a half after it’s highlighted. I’m already loving having these subtle lowlights bc I feel like it’s adding some dimension. I’ve had it highlighted so much, that it was starting to look like a bleach blond mop on my head. Not a good look for me. Now I just have to hope that my natural hair color is the same as it was ten years ago. Fingers crossed!
Welp, I’m off to fight the pre-fourth of July grocery store madness to prep for another boat day tomorrow. Hopefully they’re not sold out of cheap champagne for our breakfast mimosas.;) Wish me luck!
